Q: What is My Language on Gaia?
A: Here at Gaia, we are committed to Global Consciousness. Providing our content in more languages is a huge step toward our goal! Our first My Language selection available is Spanish.
Q: Where is the language selector, and how do I choose a language experience?
A: The language selector is at the bottom of any page on Gaia.com. Scroll down and click on the box under MY LANGUAGE - BETA, and then select the language experience that you are looking for. (Spanish only right now)
Q: Why is there less content available through the other language experience(s)?
A: Other language experiences will only show content that is currently available with subtitles, or foreign language dubs. Content that is only available in English will not appear in other language experiences.
Q: Why are some titles listed in English?
A: We're still working to translate all video titles, so there may be a few cases where English titles are shown. The videos will still play in your language.
Q: Do I need to turn on the language subtitles/dub?
A: No. Once you have selected your language experience, all content will have its corresponding subtitles, or dub automatically once you start a video. Subtitles for languages other than the experiences choices are still available, though.
Q: Why Can't I Find My Favorite Teacher/Host/Guest in the language experience?
A: Hosts, Guests, and Teachers that do not have translated/dubbed content in your chosen language will not show up in any filters or lists when you are in the language experience. You will only see hosts that have content in your preferred language. They will re-appear if you switch back to English.
Q: Why isn't my Account Management page in my preferred language as well?
A: We are working to have other language experiences available on all Gaia pages! For now, the account management page is still in English.
Q: When are other languages going to be available?
A: We are working hard to make Gaia available in other languages, too! Stay tuned.
Q: What does Beta mean?
A: Beta means “first version.” Beta is a term often used by technology companies to describe the process of creating a new website or product. It basically means: it's a work in progress, prototype, or still in the works. What does this mean, practically speaking? Well, it means things aren’t finished. While browsing the site, you may see slight errors or bugs.
Q: How can I contact you?
A: Please send us your feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can continue improving the Gaia experience for you! We also provide technical support and account assistance in Spanish.
