Site Language: this will change the language that all site text and imagery is displayed in.
Content Language: this will change the library of content you see on Gaia.com and the default video language settings within your account.
If you choose English, then you will see all content produced and localized into English. You will have the option to toggle on subtitles or closed captions where available from the video player.
If you choose an alternate language, then you will see the following:
- All original content produced in the selected language
- All English content that has been dubbed or subtitled into your selected language with the following default settings:
- If the content has been dubbed in your selected language, you will see the dubbed version as your default.
- You can opt to also toggle on subtitles in your desired language from the video player itself.* If the content has not been dubbed, the subtitles in your selected language will display automatically.
If you would prefer to view the content in English without dubbing but with subtitles, then you will need to change your site-wide language preference back to English, navigate to the video and then toggle on the subtitles from within the video player.

If your primary language is English (based on your device settings) and you select additional secondary languages from within your Gaia app settings, then this will simply extend your content library to include original content produced in each of the additional languages you selected within the app.
If you play a video that has been produced in a language other than the primary language (set by your device), then it will be played in its original language with English subtitles.
